Due to the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic and the high level of demand, Grove Medical Practice is closing it’s doors to the public.

We have alternative measures put in place and patients will only be brought in after a triage call from the GP.

If you are contacting us for advice regarding whether u should work or any other Covid-19 related query you MUST ring NHS 111.

Due to the very high level of demand for prescriptions, all repeat script requests will be STRICTLY 72 hours for dispensing to give us time to process them. We are processing thousands of prescriptions a day. Prescriptions can be ordered through our website or post box which is based outside the surgery shutters. YOU MUST nominate a pharmacy for collection as we can no longer give these out over the counter.

Please understand that our GPs, nurses, Pharmacists and Medical Receptionists are now front line and are working to their full capacity under extremely difficult circumstances and verbal abuse to any member of staff will not be tolerated. They are coming into work, leaving their own families and vulnerable people at home. They are doing this to provide a service to YOU as patients and we would be grateful if you could help us to help you by not attending the surgery.

We understand the phone lines are busy and are at full capacity but we are doing all we can to answer them as quickly and as promptly as possible.

Please keep an eye on our website for updates as procedures are changing on a day to day basis and we are adding in measures all the time to facilitate these changes.

Thank you for your patience and co-operation during these extremely difficult times.

Wellbeing Clinic

The Grove Wellbeing Centre is a first for NI and will be a ‘one stop shop’ where the local community can access the full range of Community Health and Social Care Services and also bringing leisure and library services together all under one roof.

-GP Practices are located on the first floor with easy access for the elderly, wheelchair users and prams etc. from the rear entrance.

 - It will enable staff to develop multi-professional services, targeting the specific health needs of the local community such as stroke team, diabetic care teams, voluntary and other statutory out-reached hospital services

 - It will enable the Trust to make best use of it’s Clinics and offices through booking space for other services

 - It will allow us to plan for the development of new services and the potential to relocate some Hospital Out-patient services more conveniently for the community

 - Day Care for our elderly—it is planned that Parkmount Day Care will be moved to The Grove Wellbeing Centre

 - Wheelchair service—a wheelchair training area is planned to be built into the landscaping of the new development for outdoor assessment and training

 - Sports Injury Clinic—The physiotherapy staff plan to offer treatment & advice on the management of sports injuries

These are but a few of the many services that will be available for the health and wellbeing of the local community.
