Our team of Medical Receptionists have been trained to Care Navigate and will ask you some questions about the reason for your appointment.  This will help you receive the RIGHT CARE from the RIGHT PROFESSIONAL at the RIGHT TIME.

We do not provide open access urgent surgeries

 Urgent appointments are available every morning for patients registered with Grove Medical practice and can be booked via the receptionist.

Urgent appointments are for urgent medical problems only

To facilitate this change, prescriptions cannot be ordered before 10.00am     


Please ensure you have enough medication to cover bank holidays

Practice Failed Appointments Policy

Patients who fail 3 or more appointments and do not contact the surgery will be removed from our practice list. 

Repeat Prescription Re ordering

48 Hours notice is required for all repeat medication and this includes medication on Hospital Discharge letters

Blood Pressure
Has yours been checked in the past five years? If on treatment—in the last 6 months?

Weight management advice can be obtained from the Practice Nurse.

More and more people are giving up smoking. There are various programmes available to help you give up. There is a smoking cessation clinic held every Tuesday evening. Please contact Reception for an appointment.

Regular exercise has been shown to have both physical and mental benefits.

If you are concerned regarding your alcohol intake we can provide support and advice.

Cervical Smears
Women are recommend wto have regular five yearly cervical smear. Appointments can be made with the nurse—you should be receiving invite letters.

Tetanus Prevention
We will check if you are immune and bring your cover up-to-date.
