Our Practice / Treatment Room Nurse is available for consultations and advice on health matters. Special interests include Asthma, Diabetes, cervical smears, Hypertension Clinic and supporting those who are trying to develop a healthy lifestyle with advice regarding weight, exercise, etc. They are available for routine health checks - especially those who rarely attend the Surgery and the elderly.
Within the Treatment Room, our nursing team carry out many procedures including blood tests, blood pressure checks, injections and the dressing of wounds. Patients are referred to the treatment room by the doctor. Appointments for the treatment room nurse can be booked via the receptionist.

District Nurses
District nurses perform nursing duties for patients in their own homes, who are too ill to attend the Surgery. This may be arranged by the GP or hospital medical staff prior to Hospital discharge. Telephone contact number 02890 636800.
Midwives
Midwives attend the practice Antenatal Clinic on Tuesday morning. They are available for advice throughout pregnancy and with the care of mother and baby for up to 28 days after birth.
Health Visitor
Health Visitors have a role in preventing illness especially in the young and elderly. They provide health education and monitor health in high risk groups. All children are allocated a Health Visitor until the age of 5 who will advise regarding health issues and immunisations.
Pharmacy
There is a Pharmacy in the centre where prescriptions can be dispensed and advice regarding minor ailments can be obtained.
Counsellor
A Counsellor is employed by the practice to give support with emotional problems such as bereavement, relationship difficulties and stress. Appointments are limited and referral is made via the doctor.
